Founded With Compassion, Guided by Experience
Peacefully Planned was created to bring clarity and compassion to one of life’s most tender chapters. Our founder, Jacquelyn Mendoza, started this service after the loss of her brother two years ago. This experience deeply shaped her understanding of what families need when facing loss.
With nearly 25 years of professional event planning experience, she found that navigating funeral arrangements, planning his Celebration-of-Life, paperwork, and emotional logistics, while grieving, was a uniquely overwhelming challenge.
That personal journey became the foundation for Peacefully Planned, a service born from both heart and expertise.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What’s the difference between Full-Service Planning and the Remembrance Design Package?
Full-Service covers end-to-end logistics and day-of management (vendor coordination, program planning, timeline, cuing speakers, setup/breakdown oversight). The Remembrance Design Package ($1,950) is for families who’ll host the day themselves: we complete the ceremony/program design, curate readings and music, build the slideshow and printed pieces, coordinate up to five vendors, and deliver a step-by-step run-of-show you can execute with confidence. A day-of onsite add-on (up to 5 hours) can be layered in if you later want limited on-site help
Q. How much does a Celebration-of-Life usually cost?
Q. We’re out of state. Can you still help?
Yes of course! We begin with a listening session to learn your traditions and wishes. From folded flags to ancestral blessings, prayer circles to bagpipes, we integrate each element respectfully within the flow of the day and coordinate with clergy, officiants, or honor guards to ensure timing and tone are just right.
Budgets vary widely. Most gatherings for 50–150 guests range between $8,500 and $15,000, while highly customized events can reach $20,000 or more. Venue choice, catering style, floral design, audio-visual needs, and staffing drive cost the most. Our role is to keep the plan beautiful and achievable within your comfort zone.
You can create a heartfelt celebration in a week or two. We streamline decisions, reserve available venues, and lean on digital tools for photos, music, and tributes. Our Quick-Turn Plan maps tasks by day so you can move forward calmly and still honor your loved one beautifully.
We work alongside funeral homes, celebrants, end-of-life doulas, and grief counselors to ensure your ceremony complements any burial or cremation arrangements you have made. You’ll have one clear plan that ties together logistics for the celebration itself.
Yes, Please view our Memorial Slideshow. We gather your favorite photos and clips, edit them into a music-timed slideshow (up to 100 images), with clear projection. You'll receive a flash drive and a digital file for sharing and a playback plan for the ceremony itself.
Yes. Many families choose familiar, meaningful places. We review site logistics—permits, parking, electricity, sound limits, and weather backup—so your home, garden, or park becomes a comfortable and functional gathering space. We also coordinate any outside rentals or vendors you’ll need.
Program planning is the ceremony’s blueprint. We outline who speaks and when, coordinate readings and music, prepare speaker notes, cue the slideshow, and ensure accessibility for guests. Every participant knows where they fit, allowing you to simply be present.
Q. How can we make payments.
We accept ACH, bank transfers or checks without fees. Credit cards include a standard 3 1/2% processing charge. Payment plans can be arranged at no additional cost, with due dates linked to vendor bookings and design milestones. Everything is documented so you always know where you stand.
Q. We need to plan quickly after a recent loss. What’s realistic on a short timeline?
Q. Do you include faith, culture, or military honors?
Q. What does “program planning” include?
Q. Can you create the photo or video tribute for us?
Q. Do you collaborate with funeral homes or grief professionals?
Q. Can we host the celebration at home or in a park?
Absolutely. Planning remotely is common. We meet by video, coordinate local vendors, and manage design and logistics online. If you’d like in-person support, we can travel or connect you with trusted on-site partners so every detail is handled.
